Green Things is most associated with House Plants. For nearly 40 years, since 1970 Green Things has carried the largest selection of tropical plants in Southern Arizona - from the unique, rare, and hard to find to the familiar favorites. Our 18,000 square foot Tropical Plant retail store is now organized by plant family. Step out of the desert and into a tropical oasis of vining pothos, draping palms, majestic schefflera, colorful Bromeliads and more. An additional 4000 square feet houses large tropicals such as Queen Palms, Ficus Trees, Rhapis Palms, Ponytail Palms and more. Dracaenas, Philodendrons, Pachira Money Trees, Cast Iron plants and more can be seen in new and different varieties and all sizes. Four varieties of Spider Plants, five varieties of Charlies, 5 varieties of Wandering Jews, and a myriad of hanging begonias line one wall. Goldfish, lipstick plants, staghorn ferns, Algerian Ivy, Morengo Ivy, Rabbit Foot and Kangaroo Ferns and more hang in all sizes through the center. Palms from Maya to Kentia to Fishtail, Bamboo, Areca, Triangle, Majesty and more line the aisles. Towering corn plants, Janet Craigs, Marginatas, Tricolors, and Coloramas surround their smaller counterparts on the tabletops. Sanseveria come in more than 10 different varieties and 5 different sizes. Checkout the cactus and succulents section. From 7’ Euphorbia Ingens and Acurensis to Firestix, Aoniums, Crown of Thorns, and tiny 2” barrel cactus browse through new varieties from South Africa and Madagascar along with standard desert varieties. Peace lilies, aglonema, croton, dieffenbachia, and more are regular selections. Come browse the greenhouses.
